Project week : done :)

I haven’t written in a while but that’s because I don’t have that much time on my own and I can’t keep track of all of the things I need to do. So, to sum things up, I’ve been in Mostar for about a month and a half and I’ve had the time of my life here. I just came back from my project week in Podgorica, Montenegro. Me and 7 other people went to Podgorica to volunteer in a school for children with special needs. I met so many wonderful people there and… you know what? When you meet people that have so many dreams and are so ambitious and smart but they have difficulties as being bling or they can’t walk you notice how much you take for granted the things you’ve got. These people have a special place in my heart and I feel so happy that I met them. Podgorica, as well, is very nice. I adored the Hard Rock Cafe, so if u have a chance to visit Podgorica, definitely go there 🙂 Now, I’m getting back to the usual Mostar life, I have some stuff to study, as I have my paper 1 in Global Politics and my bio test next week.

Mostar I’m here :D

So I’ve been in Mostar for a week. Induction week came to an end. I had such a good time and met a lot of new people. Even though I had a struggle remembering all of the names, I remembered a lot actually. During induction week we had a lot of different activities and it was really fun, we visited Kravice waterfalls and Blagaj, played a lot of games and learned some new things. Today was my first school day. It was pretty interesting, but it’s always like this the first day because you don’t learn actually. I don’t have a lot of time for writing in this blog, but I’m gonna try updating it as much as I can

Excitement!

So, 2 weeks left till I go to Mostar and start this wonderful adventure. I’m really excited and can’t wait to go and meet all of those amazing people I’ll live with for 2 years. A couple of days ago we found out in which residence we are and our roommates. I’m in Sušac and my roommate is a girl from Canada. All of my previous schools were close to my house, about 5 min walk, and even though a lot of people hate Sušac because of the distance from the school, I find it nice :). I don’t have a lot of things to say right now, so I’ll just end this post with a photo of Mostar .

UWCiM

Hey everyone! My name is Jovana, I’m 17 years old and I come from Macedonia. I’m a very curious, creative and active person. I like meeting new people and listening to their life stories because I think everyone hides an amazing story behind them. I like travelling, finding out new things and reading a good book while I’m in a car or bus and it’s raining outside. I love 2AM talks with people when they talk about things they love with passion in their eyes. I also like volunteering, animals and watching the stars at night. After writing a couple of things about me, it’s time to say why I made this blog (even though I suppose you already know). So I got a great opportunity to study in one of the United World Colleges. In this blog I’ll write about my adventures in UWCiM, as well as the ups and downs from this experience. My adventure starts on the 27th of August and it will last for two years 🙂 I hope you’ll like it
